Hey. You can write a program for Android auto that you could run other programs? For example. In the same menu where Yutub Auto appears, make a button on the alternative menu. If you click on this button, a screen opens on which I can add shortcuts to the programs I need. To me and to millions Russians like navigation from Yandex. It would be very convenient through the Android auto run Yandex navigator on the screen of my radio. Thank you.
Hi, I installed YoutubeAuto for Android Auto APK and it works great. Only problem is that I can only see movies from my phone in .mp4 format while not leaving other format movies (avi, mpeg, wmv, etc.). What can you depend on? Is it a problem? Thanks for the reply.

As I wrote you extensively in email (wondering if I had the address correct) I had been totally disappointed that Android Auto did not have YouTube as an app. You have solved that. Now that being said here are the issues I can remember:
Screen tends to first appear each & every time I return to the car “There was an Error”
Then after waiting several seconds the “Warning” text comes on that everyone has to see.
After clicking through that YouTube Auto starts up.
First it plays without sound.
After clicking anywhere on the screen it plays sound.
I don’t know how to “autoplay” to next video so it keeps playing over & over again the same video. As I am driving it is more difficult to choose another video when one is finished.
I cannot see a button for skip to the next video. So I am a bit stuck on the same one looping & looping.
Each time I stop the engine & return later to AA & YTA the video I was listening to restarts at the beginning, over & over again if I am taking a number of short trips in a day or two.
I just noticed I was not logged in to my YT account. So perhaps Autoplay will now work next time.
UPDate: Tonight it no longer works.
Started using CarStream. So it is actually a web browser. I look forward to understanding what else it can access.
Any chance of adding a way to play downloaded videos from YouTube Red? Be nice to not have to use data all the time.

Send to car option is not available in latest Carstream apk. And in lower version i had and installed it. But in Android Auto the app doesnt showup. And how to enable the “receive from phone” option in android auto.

Also there is no carstream in all apps

I tried installing Car Stream and made changes in the Android auto as you suggested. After connecting phone with my car, it shows Carstream but when I click on it shows ” Click last icon in bottom bar & start…”.
Please help me. For your Info..My phone is not rooted
